The Grand Canyon is an extremely popular tourist destination with various theme parks and activities. If you’re just visiting for the day, sometimes it can be difficult to find places to eat past the park entrances that taste good enough that you’ll want to come back. The Grand Canyon restaurants are also notoriously expensive, so we’ve put together a list of some of our favourite eateries near the canyon for when hunger strikes! Before you start, I advise you to take the Grand Canyon tour if you are good on a budget and experience the spectacular view of the colorado river.
If you’re looking for a quick bite during your visit without dipping into your wallet too much, here are some budget-friendly options:
Pizza Pie Pizza: Italian-style pizzas only cost 4 dollars.
Ranch House Restaurant: The Ranch House is a bit further out but offers an all-you-can-eat breakfast for 7 dollars.
Gus’s Pretzels: Awesome pretzels with toppings from just a dollar.
Elevation Burger: Elevation Burger is sure to satisfy you if you crave a burger, as it only costs about 6 dollars for a grass-fed burger with free toppings.
Sichuan House: For cheap lunch options with a Chinese flair, Sichuan House is a tasty choice as it only costs about 8 dollars for a meal with choices of moo shu pork, jiggly rolls, or fried rice.
Cheesecake Factory: If you’re looking for an awesome dessert after your meal up top, stop by the Cheesecake Factory, where you can purchase some of the most delicious cheesecakes in all of Arizona. With over 100 different types of cheesecake to choose from, there’s sure to be one that will suit your fancy! Every item on their menu comes with unlimited toppings. Cheesecake Factory also serves lunch and dinner items costing 3 dollars or less.
Brick House Cafe: Another great choice for affordable lunch options. The menu at the Brick House Cafe is made up of home-style food that caters to traditional American tastes. For between 6 and 8 dollars, you can’t go wrong with the Black Angus Burger or their grilled ham and cheese sandwich.
Applebee’s: For 5 dollars, you can get a burger and potato wedges.
The North Rim Cafe: This restaurant is another great choice for food that caters to American tastes. With choices ranging from the original Chicago-style deep-dish pizza to mouthwatering burgers, the North Rim Cafe will satisfy any cravings! In addition to delicious food at budget prices, there’s also a huge cookie selection.
Enzio’s Pizza: Enzio’s pizza ovens are always hot, so even in the summer months, you can expect to get great pizza as long as there aren’t too many tourists in line. They have an extensive menu that features pizza, pasta, and salads, with prices ranging from 5 to 10 dollars. This restaurant is also a great place for dessert with its wide selection of gelato!
-Rim Country Rotisserie: The food at Rim Country Rotisserie is delicious! With various dishes ranging from steak sandwiches to chicken parmesan, you’ll be sure to leave feeling full and satisfied without breaking your budget. Everything on the menu is served with hearty portions at affordable prices, starting at about 6 dollars.
-Brats and Beer: Brats and Beer is a perfect place to go after your Canyon hike. The restaurant is located in a gas station, so it doesn’t get all that crowded like the main towns, and the food is surprisingly good for being at this gas station. Brats with fries only cost 4 dollars!
-Rocky Mountain Deli: This would be an excellent choice if you’re looking for a large variety of sandwiches. There are always burgers and grilled cheese to choose from, with most costing about 7 dollars or less.
-Beaver Street Brewery & Grill: This restaurant doesn’t get all that busy, so you can usually get a seat without much waiting. The menu comprises items such as burgers and grilled cheese, with prices ranging between 6 and 10 dollars.
If you’re looking for fancier food options while visiting the Grand Canyon, here are some of our favourite places to eat:
-Grand Canyon Hotel Restaurants: Many hotel restaurants serve breakfast meals starting at just 5 dollars and various other lunch items at around 10 dollars or less. These are great ways to try out the hotel restaurants and see what kinds of food you like without breaking the bank too much.
-Eating House: This restaurant near Grandpa’s Petrified Forest is a great choice for those wanting to enjoy a different meal than just grilled cheese with their cheese feast! This restaurant has a wide variety of dishes from around the world that range between 5 and 12 dollars. There’s also a selection of pasta and sandwiches for just 7 dollars.

-Yavapai Lodge Dining Room: This restaurant is the perfect place to go if you’re looking for a quick bite before your hike or to bring your lunch back to the park with you. The breakfast menu features an American flair, while the dinner menu serves up American classics like prime rib, steak, and fish. The prices are comparable with other Grand Canyon hotel restaurants in that they range between 5 and 10 dollars.

If you plan on visiting during the summer months, you may want to consider upgrading your lunch to a dinner outing. Between 7 and 10 dollars, you’ll be able to enjoy one of the most famous five-course dinners in Arizona with a complimentary dessert.
