False Happiness

The Difference between False Happiness and Real Happiness

We all look for happiness in our lives but what is actually happiness? Sometimes we could be happy in a particular moment but it doesn’t mean we are actually happy inside. There is actually a huge difference between false happiness and real happiness. Real happiness is certainly found inside our hearts but this magic is searched by a lot of people throughout their lives. Understand that real happiness doesn’t come just like that! Also, it cannot be particularly measured. So how to differentiate between fake happiness and real happiness? Let’s see it all.

 1.Fake Happiness Can Look Intense

Yes, happiness is misleading at times. For example, when something new happens in life like a dream job or a romantic relationship, you feel very intense and emotional in the beginning. This happiness could feel real and better only when you spend some days or months into the job or relationship. Long term happiness and its reality takes time to arrive. So you may need to keep patience to enjoy real happiness.

2.Fake Happiness Comes With Pride

The feeling of being superior brings false happiness in a person. It causes a person to feel that they are much better than the world and shall make others jealous of your achievements. However, real happiness comes when you enjoy yours as well as others’ achievements. If you are someone who keeps comparing yourself with others or constantly judging yourself then you can be a part of fake happiness.

3.Real Happiness Brings Peace & Calm

The world is all ours and the mind is at peace because real happinexss brings stability. When you are facing fake happiness, you are worried with a number of insecurities and doubts. Real happiness doesn’t get bothered by any such external events and all the worries seem far and detached. In fact, whatever is happening in the outside world is much more easily acceptable and you are easily accustomed to it.

4. Fake Happiness Doesn’t Last

Unlike real happiness, fake happiness crashes when the time tests us. There could be only certain times when you want to smile but it doesn’t stay with you for long. Real happiness is embedded deep within us and doesn’t get affected by what is going on in the outside world because this happiness doesn’t fade due to any external ideas.

5. Real Happiness Seeks No Approval

Real happiness does not look for approval of family, friends or relatives or any partner. It is guarded by our inner soul and convictions and you understand that no matter what anyone says, you are really satisfied and happy with it.

6. Praises & Detachment

Usually, when someone praises us, we reach for new skies and when someone criticizes us, we feel pain. These are temporary emotions and the real emotion and happiness comes when we maintain our own self esteem and do not connect with volatile emotions of the world. Even Buddha had said once, ‘To live a pure unselfish life, one must count nothing as one’s own in the midst of abundance.’

7. Self Love & Self Giving

When we want to experience real happiness, we are usually chased by our own goals and happiness around it. However, when it comes to giving your share of happiness to others through services or donations, it brings you to a higher position. It shows your selfless behavior where you are able to give importance to others too. And as soon as egos are left behind in the race, the capacity to feel happy and satisfied increases.

8. Emotional Dependence & Love

In this materialistic world, we are often happy with what we possess. In fact, we start seeing others as ‘my friend’. Calling and tagging them could be really pressuring yourself only. But real love comes when you give yourself completely without asking anything in return. It doesn’t come with forced attachment or being demanding. Because only unconditional love frees you from any expectations. Avoid making emotional dependence your reason to feel alive and experience love from within to feel true and real happiness.

Wrap Up

In the end, we hope you have cleared out the difference between false happiness and real happiness. What our understanding of the two suggests is that real happiness is generated within and goes with us to an endless time. But the fake happiness is temporary and short lived. It generates intensely but burns out very quickly too. This is why every human being should identify what makes them really happy and it could be done with precise understanding and calm composure. Who are you really? Real happy or fake happy? Moreover, ask yourself if fake happiness on social media has become your real happiness? Is your happiness coming within?
