This Teen Patti version aims at getting as close to 9-9-9 as possible. If you achieve that, you emerge the winner. Every card translates to a specific number. Here are the numbers for all face cards (the suit does not matter):
- K, Q, J, and 10 = 0
- 9 = 9
- 8 = 8
- 7 = 7
- 6 = 6
- 5 = 4
- 4 = 4
- 3 = 3
- 2 = 2
- A = 1
Based on these numbers, if you get 9-K-4, your number is 904. Fortunately, players are allowed to switch the order of their cards. If you make it 9-4-K, your total is 940, making it easier to get 9-9-9.
Discard One
This variation has the dealer dealing four cards instead of the usual three. It is up to you (as the player) to select the best three cards and discard the fourth. All other Teen Patti rules stay the same. Since all players have seen the cards during selection, the game continues with them seeing the cards to the end.
This type of gameplay is known as ‘playing chaal.’
Rotating Jokers
In this casino game variant, every player has three cards. One card is open while the other two are closed. Your personal joker is the open card, which every player has. When a player folds, the other players can use their open card (joker).
If this happens, you cannot use your personal joker again. If the next player folds, their open card becomes the next joker.
Auction
In this version of Teen Patti, all players get three cards. The dealer also places two piles on the table, each with three cards.
There is an open card and two close cards in these two piles. Like in the Rotating Jokers version, the open cards serve as jokers.
The two piles are available for auction, where bidding starts (before the round begins). The winning bidder gets the cards, and their old cards replace those in the initial pile. The winning bid money goes into the pot.
The game resumes normalcy after selling both piles. The open cards from the replaced piles go back to being the joker card, useable by any player.
Pack Jack
Players here have three cards (as usual) and an additional three placed as jokers at the center of the table. Every time a player folds, three of their cards are placed in the middle replacing the original jokers.
Lallan Kallan
This Teen Patti version has players receiving the usual three cards. The card with the odd color becomes the joker. If you have two black cards and one red, the red one automatically becomes the joker. If you have the same-colored cards, you are disqualified and have to fold.
Lallan Kallan continues until every player remains with a joker card in hand.
Stud
These casino games give you one face-up card and two face-down cards. All these cards are closed. The face-down cards are also known as hole cards.
On the other hand, face-up cards are called street cards. The rules are comparable to the standard version of Teen Patti to prevent players from seeing their cards, with the exception of one.
