What is the Duolingo English Test?
The Duolingo English Test is a computer-based online test that applicants can take at their leisure. Candidates who need to demonstrate English language competency can take the Duolingo English Test, which can be completed online at any time and from any location. It assesses all four language abilities Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking, just like the traditional study abroad examinations TOEFL, IELTS, and PTE. In this piece, we’ll go over everything you need to know about the Duolingo Exam and whether or not you should take it.
The exam is adaptive, which means that with each successful response, the difficulty level of the test increases, while the following question becomes simpler if your answer is incorrect. Although the exam is just around an hour long, with only a few questions, it may swiftly assess the test taker’s abilities.
Candidates may take the test from their homes, and there is no need to schedule an appointment because they can take it whenever and wherever they choose. It also contains an improved portion where candidates may record their responses to open-ended questions and take a 10-minute video interview.
